Cupro-nickel, also known as copper-nickel, is a family of alloys that contain copper as the primary metal and nickel as the secondary metal. The addition of nickel to copper enhances the alloy’s strength, corrosion resistance, and other mechanical properties. One common application of cupro-nickel alloys is in the form of welded pipes.

Cupro-nickel welded pipes are manufactured by joining cupro-nickel sheets or plates using welding techniques. The welding process ensures a continuous, strong, and leak-proof connection along the length of the pipe. Cupro-nickel welded pipes are used in various industries, particularly in marine environments, where their excellent resistance to seawater corrosion is highly advantageous.

The most common grade of cupro-nickel used for welded pipes is CuNi 90/10 (90% copper and 10% nickel). Another common variant is CuNi 70/30 (70% copper and 30% nickel). These alloys are preferred for marine and offshore applications due to their favorable combination of mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.

ASTM B467 Cupro Nickel Alloy Welded Pipe are surface wash and clean to remove all impurities and stock in the warehouse. Then it is wrapped in thin plastic and also it ends are protected by plastic caps to avoid any damage in transit. Cupro Nickel Welded Pipe is bundled in bubble wrap followed by assorting them in colored plastic bundles. An outer rope is tied to protect the tubing and they are packed in wooden box or container.

MPJ Provide Copper Nickel Welded Pipe with all necessary documents such as commercial invoice, packing list, Test Reports, HS Code, Country of Origin attested by the chamber of commerce, Fumigation Certificate, Warranty Letter, and Base Material Certificates. Every lot is supplied with a material test certificate as per EN 10204 NACE 3.1 standards indicating the chemical and mechanical properties of the Copper Nickel Welded Pipes.

We also confirm the guarantee of the Copper Nickel Welded Pipe supplied as per Purchase order specifications and attest the same in the Material Test Certificate. We also welcome any third party inspection from an agency nominated by the customer to comply with NACE 3.2 Certification if required by the customer at an extra cost.
